Most people in the Grande Cache area are aware of Caribou Patrol and all that they do for the conservation of the caribou in this area. We feel it is important to look at all ways possible to make this effortless for all parties involved and still succeed in saving the caribou.
Bob Stewart has some thoughts on how to achieve this. Please join us at the Library on Dec. 5th at 6:30 pm. Bob will be advancing some new approaches to the management of woodland caribou including a grassroots indigenous approach to comprehensive progressive approaches, ending the wolf slaughter, stopping the idea of maternity pens, and putting young indigenous people to work as guardians of caribou - and it will all cost a lot less than current expensive ineffective approaches. In addition this effect can be the springboard for an exciting global outreach of indigenous to indigenous carbon sequestration projects to begin the human effort to address our relationship with carbon by beautifying parts of the earth and restoring the economic lives of indigenous communities whose lands were desecrated 50 years ago in countries like Nicaragua and Honduras- highly doable projects and spiritually rewarding.
